Durty Chai Production founder Chelsea Samuel dramatizes what it feels like to reinvigorate your serotonin. In this project, I served as Director of Photography, Cinematographer, and Editor.

A short film directed by student filmmaker Catherine Lange. The story captures the daydreams of a young woman as she reflects on a previous date.

As the project's editor, I considered the coloring, sound, and pacing essential to the story progression. I added the diegetic noises of the character's mind as an artistic choice, along with the text font calligraphy and end credits.

A Happy Ending is a romantic comedy written and directed by Chelsea Samuel. It follows Simone on her quest to end her exhausting seven-year relationship, where she ironically finds her happy ending.

In this project, I wore multiple hats as Co-Director of Photography and editor of the final project in its totality. The majority of the project was all ADR seen in the project. During the first two days of filming, audio wasn't captured from the camera or mics. Once the audio was finally picked up, it was still deeply flawed.

The short film required hours of meticulous work syncing audio with the subjects' mouths and adjusting audio levels to make the project seamless. I recorded the ADR during postproduction and created the trailer and font for the "A Happy Ending" textile.

Two longtime friends explore their feelings for one another as one has become terminally ill. My role as the composer is to capture the swells in their emotions. Throughout the composition, I dropped little hints of a love that had been brewing, creating music symbolic of their relationship throughout their lives. I aimed to evoke what their love sounded like, shy but immense.

The short documentary follows the subject, Sacred, and their story in the underground punk scene. I worked on this project with Alexa Hernandez. We switched off capturing footage and interviews, curating the soundtracks, syncing audio, and creating the trailer.

In the documentary, I tell the story of artist Tina Tona through the lens of friendship. The documentary was created during the pandemic. While our interview had to be done through Zoom's stagnancy, I made the score for the film in hopes of creating a dreamy scope that would evoke the element of wonder that you feel from friendship. I also pulled archival photos of their previous artwork to add an element of Broll, visually helping to progress the story forward.

L's conviction for life is evident in their art. The short documentary project highlights their work and progress as an artist. I drove to San Francisco the week before the pandemic lockdown orders were issued to film L. The footage shot foreshadows the bleakness to come. This documentary was the first test of my skills as a documentarian, telling the story of a real subject.
